LOVE BY THE BOLT by George Feydeau, translated and adapted by J. Paul Marcoux

November 17 - 19 (8 pm), November 20 (2 pm) & November 24 - 26 (8 pm)

Written and set in 19th century France this riotous play turns the world of “l'amour" upside down. Doctor Moulineaux is having an innocent affair (hoping it will "improve") with one of his married patients. In an attempt to conceal a recent indiscretion, he tells his wife that he has been sitting up all night with a terminally sick friend, who at that very moment appears on the scene!  This signals a series of impulsive cover-ups and wild antics which in turn result in absolute chaos. As complication is added to complication, the pace continues to build until the entire world seems to have gone mad.  Finally, a semblance of order is restored, but one senses that tomorrow it will probably start all over again!

STEEL MAGNOLIAS by Robert Harling

March 22 - 24 (8 pm), March 25 (2 pm) & March 29 - 31 (8 pm)

This touching play is set in Truvy's salon,  Chinquapin, Louisiana, where all the ladies who are “anybody” come to have their hair done, and benefit from its wisecracking, owner’s free advice. In its emotional ending, Steel Magnolias reveals the special qualities and strength of each rich character.
